Description
The LuxLight 50w LED bulb is a powerful and highly efficient light source that is excellent for both photography and video. The bulb is flicker free and noiseless and produces a colour temperature of 5400k (standard daylight temperature), with a highly accurate quality of light (CRI>88). It is an excellent choice of lighting when shooting video.
LED's outperform older fluorescent bulbs by producing a higher quality of light, using less energy, generating less heat and having a longer lifespan. They are also less fragile than the glass fluorescent alternatives. Spending a little more money on LED bulbs is guaranteed to save you money in the long term.
Please be aware the 50w LED bulb is too large for the side lamps included in the PhotoGeeks 3 light tent kits (TT2-3L-60 & TT2-3L-90). They are too large to use multiple bulbs in the four or five head softbox light heads.

Great upgrade for cheap lighting kit Posted by Unknown on 13th Aug 2019
I bought a cheapo continuous lighting kit (ebay special) that with two fluorescent bulbs was next to useless. A couple of these solved the problem and made it a really useful kit.
Surprisingly good Posted by Geoff on 11th Mar 2019
I wanted to replace the ungainly and ugly coiled 'compact' fluorescent lamps in the lights I use mainly for product photography. I wanted two powerful LED lamps that would fit comfortably into a soft box and a parabolic reflector -- unlike the fluorescents which absolutely do not. These lamps have a large diameter shallow, disc-like form factor that's ideal. It remains to be seen if they are durable over time but they don't appear to run very hot. The price was comparable or better than products on eBay from China so extremely happy to be able to buy from a trusted UK specialist.
